The theatre's address is Friedrichstraße 107, 10117 Berlin. Wikipedia describes Friedrichstraße as a major culture and shopping street in central Berlin that forms the core of the Friedrichstadt neighbourhood, and the venue calls the Palast centrally located in Berlin-Mitte. Type the address into any map app and it will draw the walking route from your hotel. The street gives the theatre its name, so asking for the Palast on Friedrichstraße is understood.

By U-Bahn

The venue's visit page lists the U6 as the line for the theatre, with the Oranienburger Tor and Friedrichstraße stations each a short walk along Friedrichstraße. Wikipedia notes that the U6 runs under Friedrichstraße. If your hotel is near a U6 station, this is the simplest way to arrive, because the station is a short walk from the entrance. If it is not, change at a station the U6 shares with another line, and check your route in the city's transport app.

By S-Bahn and regional train

The venue says Friedrichstraße station, served by several S-Bahn lines and regional trains, is about five minutes away on foot, and that Oranienburger Straße station is also about five minutes on foot.

By tram, bus and car

The visit page lists several tram and bus stops near the theatre, including stops at U Oranienburger Tor, so check it for the current lines because routes change. For drivers, the venue says several parking options are available near the Palast, but it cannot book a parking space at the theatre itself.

Step-free arrival

The venue says the foyer can be reached through the side entrance on Johannisstraße, with admission from an hour before the show starts. Staff open the glass door there and, if you wish, escort guests all the way to their seats. Lifts serve the hall and every level of the foyer, but the hall has steps, so mobility inside it is limited. The venue can arrange disabled parking near that entrance if you ask at least two weeks ahead.

Fitting a day around the evening

The venue's backstage page describes Berlin-Mitte as the centre of German politics and also of the city's nightlife, with more theatres in a small area than anywhere else in Germany. Wikipedia says Mitte takes in the Reichstag, Museum Island, the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden and Alexanderplatz with the TV Tower. So the TV Tower and the Reichstag, two of the outings on this site, are both in Mitte, and the boat tour passes Museum Island, which is in Mitte too.

On arrival

Entry begins an hour before the show. Deposit large bags and coats at the cloakroom, which the venue does not charge for and which is included in the booking. The venue suggests ordering interval drinks at a foyer bar before the show starts, to avoid queues, and says most bars take cards or phones only. The final ticket with your seat number arrives the day before, so keep it where you can find it quickly, on your phone or on paper. The venue also says its box office is to the right of the main entrance, and that tickets are collected there from an hour before the performance.
